Fashion Designers Inspired By Animals

Custom Vesey animal print shirt

Animals have been a source of inspiration for fashion designers for centuries. From the intricate patterns on a butterfly’s wings to the bold stripes of a tiger, the beauty and diversity of the animal kingdom have inspired some of the most iconic and memorable designs in fashion history.

VZ Upcycled Designs for Charity

These designers have taken the shapes, colors, and patterns of these animals and created wearable art that celebrates the natural world around us:

Alexander McQueen

Nature was an important reference for Alexander McQueen, and his designs often drew inspiration from the natural world. Sarah Burton, the current creative director of the brand, was inspired by the cycle of life, flowers, and butterflies in her Autumn/Winter 2018 collection. Glasswings, painted ladies, pink morphos, and tiger wings were all incorporated into the designs, showcasing the intricate beauty of these creatures.

Dolce & Gabbana

Dolce & Gabbana is well-known for their iconic leopard print clothing, which have become a timeless classic for the brand. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Domenico Dolce stated that the print has always fascinated them for its sensuality and femininity. It has become a signature of the brand and a staple in many fashionistas’ wardrobes.

Roberto Cavalli

The Italian designer Roberto Cavalli is known for his exotic prints and animal-inspired shirts, jackets, pants, and accessories. In the Autumn/Winter 2019 womenswear and menswear lines, the creative director Paul Surridge delivered a “modernist tiger print” that was a wavy version of the pattern. The print was featured on tops, silk dresses, and as shiny embroidery on other frocks during Milan fashion week.

Tom Ford

Tom Ford’s 2018 Autumn catwalk was all about making a statement with print. From bold red leopard print to top-to-toe snakeskin and bright yellow cheetah, the designer’s collection showcased his love for animal prints. The collection featured sequins, neon patchwork, rhinestones, and of course, animal prints, all alongside his impeccably tailored suiting.

Charlotte Olympia

Charlotte Olympia is known for her exquisite and original shoes and clutches. The designer often references animals in her designs, creating unique and whimsical pieces. Her “whimsical fairy tale” collection included the “she wolf” heels and her Autumn/Winter 2014 collection was inspired by animals from the Far East, including the adorable panda heels and Chinese dragon clutch.

I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a difficult
time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.

The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique.
P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but
    I had to ask!
